Contraception in Practice

This course provides clinical information about all forms of contraception and is particularly useful for nurses, midwives, health visitors, doctors, youth workers, teachers and outreach workers who are not trained in contraceptive methods.


This is a course delivered virtually to delegates who must have access to a working email address and a desktop PC, Pad Device or Smart phone, with audio/microphone capability and ideally (but not essential) video/camera capability. You will receive a training pack by post for this course a few days before it is due to run.


Learning Outcomes

Each delegate will gain the following learning outcomes: Have a comprehensive knowledge about the full range of contraceptive methods. Have the ability to communicate more confidently with clients about contraception. Have an increased awareness of resources that can be used to support their work. Discuss child and adult safeguarding in the context of contraception provision.
