South East Celebration of General Practice Nursing 2023

The South East Celebration of General Practice Nursing 2023 event will be a virtual event on the evening of 18 May 2023 to celebrate the amazing work that has been done by practice nurses in the South East.
Please save the date in your diary. We will send out more information on getting a place, nearer the time.
The awards are open to anyone working in the South East in general practice. The categories are:
1. Service Improvement GPN Award
This award is for a GPN who has introduced a nurse-led project in General Practice which has improved patient care. This can be at a practice level, PCN level or STP/ICS level. The project can be big or small, but should demonstrate innovation, sustainability and engagement with others.
2. Digital GPN Award
We are looking for a GPN who has been involved with or worked with digital or technology enhanced care in their practice. For example, this could include any form of remote monitoring or virtual consultations. They should be able to demonstrate sustainability, and engagement with others in the project. The project should produce an improvement in patient care or experience.
3. Community GPN Award
This award is for a GPN who has worked across barriers in the community. Either working with their community on a particular area, or working as part of a team with other people outside of their practice. The work should have led to an improvement in patient care.
4. GPN Leadership Award
Exceptional GPN leaders are inspiring. They listen to their teams and empathise with Best Health Care Support Worker in a GPN Team Award We all know that HCSWs are essential members of the general practice nursing team. We are looking for one who has demonstrated excellent patient care, great teamwork, and keen to be involved and innovate.
5. Working Collaboratively Towards the Future (PCN Teams) Award
Nurses work well in teams and GPNs are no exception. We want to find a team of nurses in general practice who have worked well together and with others outside their team, who have made a positive and sustainable difference to patient care by working well together.
6. Best Health Care Support Worker in a GPN Team Award
We all know that HCSWs are essential members of the general practice nursing team. We are looking for one who has demonstrated excellent patient care, great teamwork, and keen to be involved and innovate.
7. Best Nursing Associate / Trainee Nursing Associate in a GPN Team Award
We all know that TNAs and NAs are essential members of the general practice nursing team. We are looking for one who has demonstrated excellent patient care, great teamwork, and keen to be involved and innovate.
8. Practice Educator Award
This award is for a GPN who has been an inspirational role model for learners. We all know that the role of the Practice Educator is to teach, supervise and assess students / learners on their placements during training to become a registered practitioner. They work to maintain the quality of practice placements for students, at the same time demonstrating primary care in the 21 st century is a great place to embark on your career.
9. Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is for a GPN to recognise their dedication and contributions to patient care over the whole of their career. An individual who has been an inspirational role model to many of their peers.
10. Longest Length of Service Award
This award is for a GPN in recognition of the dedication and commitment to working within the NHS and in primary care
