Opportunity to provide 3rd-year SECAmb Paramedic Students with a week’s placement in Primary Care

An opportunity has arisen for Primary Care to provide a week’s placement to 3rd year SECAmb Pre-reg Paramedic students with experience of Primary Care. The students are currently employed by Secamb as Emergency Care Support Workers whilst undergoing their training and have already had placements in A & E and theatres. The aim of the placement is to provide them with a unique opportunity in their final year to fully understand the patient journey within the Primary Care Arena and is more observational. In order to qualify for this opportunity, the Practice must have a Clinical Supervisor and ideally (but not mandatory) have a Paramedic/Paramedic Practitioner based at the Practice.

The practice will be paid a £75 placement tariff retrospectively following the Paramedic placement. If your practice is interested in this opportunity please email the Kam Shingadia Practice Education Liaison, Kingston and St. George’s k.shingadia@sgul.kingston.ac.uk confirming :

A Placement agreement will need to be completed/ signed between the Practice and Kingstone and St George’s, (similar to agreements with other organisations the practice may provide placements for students).
