As the war in Ukraine continues, the UK is likely to see a large number of refugees from the conflict. Many of these will need health care and General Practice will be the first port-of-call for much of that. In this clinic, Andy Ward will look at the legal situation around entitlement to NHS healthcare and GP registration for migrants; give an overview of some of the infectious diseases we should be considering in patients arriving from overseas; give some tips on working with interpreters and discuss the diagnosis and management of post-traumatic stress.
