Free End of Life training for Health and Social Care

The Kent and Medway Education Collaboration was inspired and launched in response to unprecedented numbers of COVID-19 related deaths, and their impact within health and social care at the start of the Pandemic.

Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent, The Heart of Kent Hospice, Ellenor Hospice and the Kent Community Health Foundation NHS Trust have developed fundamental end of life training originally aimed at the skills of all those who were working in social care. Because of its success, this is now open to all health professionals and social care workers.

The Kent and Medway Commissioning Group and NHS England have supported the funding of an additional 100 sessions over the forthcoming year. There are 11 different topics on end of life care.
