Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) support applied health and care research that responds to, and meets, the needs of local populations and local health and care systems.
The NIHR ARC Kent Surrey and Sussex (ARC KSS) is one of 15 ARCs across England, part of a £135 million investment by the NIHR to improve the health and care of patients and the public. Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the host Trust for the ARC KSS working collaboratively with the Universities of Kent, Surrey and Sussex and member organisations to deliver its objectives.

Individual Development Awards – Springboards - currently open for application:
The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex (ARC KSS) has launched its 2022 round of Individual Development Awards (IDAs) to help support individuals, to build their research careers through our SpringBoard Awards.
These Awards are aimed at individuals employed by a health or social care organisation who are an ARC KSS member organisation. The awards are for £5,000, over six months, for individuals, employed by a health or social care organisation - including social work, private, or charity sector and public health - to undertake activities aimed at developing research skills. There are two SpringBoard application deadlines for this year. Therefore, applications should be submitted for consideration by 5pm on: 29 April 2022 or 16 September 2022.

The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent Surrey and Sussex (ARC KSS) is today (1 February) pre-announcing its open funding call for research and evidence projects. The funding call is open to all staff that work within an ARC KSS member organisation.
